SUMMER IS HERE

Our beach is quickly becoming busy. To help ensure a safe and enjoyable season for everyone, please review and share the following important guidelines with your family, guests, and renters.

WATER SAFETY

Deeper Water Further Out
Shallow water near the shore can create a false sense of security, especially for families with children or inexperienced swimmers. Water becomes deeper further from shore, so please use caution.
Currents and Waves
During wavy conditions, currents and undertows can pull swimmers into deeper water and further down the shoreline.
Adult Supervision
Conditions can change quickly. Please ensure children are always under direct and active adult supervision.

ROAD AND PEDESTRIAN SAFETY

Slow Down
All vehicles using gravel roads must proceed slowly and with extreme caution.
Watch for Children
Always be highly mindful of children playing and pedestrians using the roadways.

MOTORIZED WATERCRAFT

Anchor only in the boating zone marked by posts and signs. Children should not swim in this area.
Motorized watercraft are not permitted in any designated swimming areas.

EMERGENCIES

In case of an emergency, IMMEDIATELY call 911 and cite Deanlea Beach.
Individuals with a cellphone should consider installing the What Three Words app. Opening the app will provide a three word phrase that can help emergency responders identify your location.

We are officially looking for a lead volunteer to oversee this year's Deanlea Beach Family Fun Day. Dont worry you wont be doing it alone! You will have plenty of support from the board and fellow volunteers.

Prefer to take on a smaller, specific role instead? We need coordinators for:

Games
Prizes
Raffles

To ensure we can proceed with planned Fun Day activities, please let us know by May 20th.

Additionally, we are looking to welcome new faces to the Board of Directors. Weve had a few retirements recently, and were eager to replenish our team with fresh ideas, youth, and energy!
If you are interested in leading the Fun Day, taking on a specific task, or joining the board, please reply to this email to let us know.
